Olivia Ground is now 20. She graduated high school in 2021. She works part time for the local humane society. She is in college part time to become a vet tech. We still have the electric guitar. It's a left handed model. Liv sustained a brain injury in 2015, and because brain injuries make it more likely for more injury, she sustained one in 2017 and one in 2018. Graduated a year late, had to learn to read again. Music education was part of her neurology plan after 2017. A very forward thinking doctor. She switched to piano and vocal lessons because her school offered them, and our time in her rehab / treatment outside of school didn't lend itself to private lessons. More recently, she inherited my Dad's acoustic guitar when he died. She's been playing around on that. Music has been an important part of her healing. I'm so grateful to you for starting our path. We met you on a First Friday artwalk. I never knew before that night she wanted to play. She didn't want to tell me because I'm a single Mom. But it's so important
Thanks you for his trumpet
